: Secure Data Destruction
There
are two way to archive the total destruction of data from
a computer hard disk drive.
1. Removal and destruction of the hard disk drive internal platters.
Cheapest
option and suitable for machines that could be considered
obsolete and would not be offered for resale/reuse.
For instance 386, 486 and early Pentium systems.
2. Secure data erasure of the hard disk drive using specialist
software.
Appropriate
for machines that will be offered for sale, and can potentially
offer an increased resale value, by negating the need to replace
the hard disk drive.

Pricing
for the different options are:
1.
Physical destruction - Standard callout charge of £35.00,
plus £10.00 per hard disk drive.
2.
Secure data erasure - Standard callout charge of £35.00,
plus £20.00 per hard disk drive.
Further
pricing options are available for multiple sites/large volumes
of hard disk drives.
