: Hardware Inspection and Testing
Indie
IT uses specialist software and hardware to perform testing
and reporting on PC's and Laptops. The software itself
is run independently of the PC's operating system, eliminating
the possibility of corruption.
Hardware
add-ons enhance the troubleshooting exercise allowing examination
of items such as USB ports and CD-ROM drives.
This
testing is applicable to two main areas.
Component
Testing
If
you suspect that there is a hardware fault with your computer
system Indie IT are able to test a wide range of components.

This
service is particularly useful if you have an extended warranty
which the supplier is reluctant to honour. Indie IT
can test the hardware and either supply a written report or
contact the vendor directly.
Asset
Management
Some
businesses may need to know the exact physical makeup of their
computer systems, i.e. for insurance purposes. Testing
allows detailed a report to be made of items such as processor
type and speed, the amount of memory and hard drive size.
